    Beginners Mind
    I recently began swimming.  At first I felt like a fish out of water.  I could barely breathe, my hair was in my face, the chlorine was stinging my eyes and my strokes felt unnatural.  It was very humbling.  I kept at it even though I felt embarrassed and uncomfortable, and after a few weeks I learned to wear a cap and goggles.  I learned the proper way to breathe and the strokes felt more natural.  After about 6 months I still feel out of place among the swimmers who have the somersault down
